okay currently watching the Avalanche! episode of lab rats and i need to talk about something.
when Chase and Douglas are in his tent and Chase “agrees” to join him, Chase says, “ Mr Davenport won’t be [in the lab]. It’s Wednesday, which means… something’s getting waxed..”
now i know that this was written in for comedy but it got me thinking. did Chase actually think that Mr Davenport would attend a waxing appointment while he was still lost. and yeah i know he was just playing a ruse to get Douglas back to the lab and trap him but, why would he choose that specifically? one, to give Douglas false confidence of getting away with his plan. but seriously, was there part of him that seriously thought that his father would go get waxed at a time like this? especially since for all he knows, Adam and Bree left him there. we know they didn’t but it looks that way to him. there may have been a small part of him that wondered whether they would be there waiting for him. :(
