Arle, star of the Puyo Puyo series (excluding the most recent one) in her gear as seen in the Dreamcast dancing spin-off game 'Puyo Puyo Da!'. I haven't even played that one in the series yet but I thought Arle looked so awesome in the clothes she wears in that I couldn't resist having a crack at drawing her in them.
The pic is a combination of *that* cool paper I like to use (and seriously need to find more of, as I'm running out), pen, paint and photoshop (which was used to colour Arle in). The Japanese text should hopefully say 'Puyo Puyo' as I got that from the games title screen, but drew in in a graffiti-like style. Hopefully I didn't do anything to it that'd make it say something else in Japanese, like I have done before (*pokes Sonic ChuuDoku*)
Oekakis!
I made this for a college project in which we were making a summer themed magazine front & back cover spread. This is the result of two days pretty much non stop work.Â
In the background are a mix of photos I took of buildings and houses around my stomping grounds, all theshold'ed and mixed together. The main figure was drawn all in photoshop, basically traced from an art noveau painting (Autumn by Mucha) I liked, with some bits done in Illustrator (bubbles) and Flash (the flowers and traced beer can). The effects and stuff were done in photoshop.
These are some oekaki's I did a while ago that were gonna be the "character select" pictures in Gagapow (That Shoot em up game I started ages ago) I still want to make the game at some point (maybe I'll get it finished in 2043) but I doubt I'll use these now (although I could, I'd have to draw the other characters in the same exact style) so er...here they are, because I like em.
