She had even debated on double bagging the order before she left the hotel room. But of course, she was in too much of a hurry. She cursed herself already for oversleeping. It was suppose to be a short nap to catch up and then she would be fine! The dive balls were strapped to her belt and a light jacket was tossed on before she grabbed each of the plastic bags that were filled with a plethora of ingredients she picked up from various Paldean markets.

There! The academy was just in the distance. She's totally got this. Even then her mightyena was already a few excited steps ahead of her. All she did now was take a short break. A small rest as she worked on catching her breath.

That reprieve??

The clattering of glass and tin upon the sidewalk nearly made her jump out of her skin. No. Nope. Totally didn't happen. Maybe if she didn't look... Oh why did she have to look down?? She just knew something was going to be....

"Huh?? When.... I mean thank you of course," she exclaimed in an apologetic tone "Hold on, you mean everything survived?? Oh thank arceus"

Seriously when did Rei show up. And not only that they were helping to pick up the mess? She was sure she had seem them around the city before. Regardless this was still embarrassing for her.

Hold up?? Rei had plans to travel to Area Zero? She stared at him for a minute or two after a confused blink. Paldea was still new to her, but she was sure she heard rumors on how the place was pretty much forbidden to explore. Or was that just for those who attended The Academy? Still the more she heard about it, the more she felt a compulsion.

Of course in the name of research, right? Whether it be for something scientific or historical. By the time she had heard the news about his expedition she had been hanging out along side the moat that surrounded Mesagoza, observing the local water types. In fact, some of her own pokemon decided to take advantage of the location, her gorebyss immediately diving in going down as deep as she could possibly go.

She wasn't completely sure why it was her of all people Rei revealed that he was heading to Area Zero. Or what even sparked her next outburst.

“Come on! It cannot be any different that going to explore Ultra Space!”

The minute the words left her mouth a slight gasp was elicited. Immediately both hands clasped over it. Oh. Oh no. She was starting to reveal a bit too much! But just maybe that bit of information may help her case? Wait what case? That she possibly wanted to..

Her hands lowered as she temporarily sucked in her breath. "Still you do admit that the place is dangerous then. Even if you think you will be fine..." there was another pause. Not sure on if she should ask what was looming around her mind next.

She left that former type of life behind. Or she thought she did. Even with the idea of present danger, she missed the research.

The sun had barely even risen yet, when Tsuki had dragged Lynn out of her Paldean hotel room to go on one of of their early morning walks. A very early one at that. No matter. She was still fairly restless. So maybe some fresh air could help? No deliveries notifications were showing up yet.

Most of Mesagoza was quiet at this hour. And only a few shops were open. Eventually she came to rest at one of the benches. Hold on, on did she remember to bring her room key with her. It was when she was searching through her bag did she hear Senri's almost ominous sounding warning.

Her mightyena was the first to perk up noticing the Hisuian Zoroark's presence. On guard, til she could notice by scent who they were. It took a moment for Lynn to realize it was one of Rei's pokemon. Though she didn't see him anywhere around.

"Ehh?? What makes you think something is haunting me?" she asked, the question sounding rather rhetorical considering. Could ghost types really pick up on something like that? But there was one part that caught her attention. It wasn't like they knew her exact details of her past life at Aether Paradise, right?

"I.. I have no intention of going after anyone. Not sure why you would think that." Should she be insulted. They were giving mixed signals. She was an acceptable enemy? Well that was -something-.

Rei is very carefully throwing a drink to him.

ASOLUTELY UNHINGED COMEDIC RELIEF @illusions-end / Rei

It was about time that Rei had started to visit Alola. The two had stopped for a break around the Tapu Village pokecenter in order to stock up on food and other supplies. After all, Lynn had promised him a tour of the nearby ruins. However, his latest comment sparked a new idea instead.

"Ehh....we don't really have any of those around the islands," she replied. A thoughtful hum follow. She surely didn't want to disappoint him. There had to be something....

Gazing over at the small corner shop of potions and knick-knacks she then made a realized gasp. Instinctively, she grabbed Rei's hand tugging him along outside.

"Listen! There's is an abandoned megamart nearby. I mean...there is rumors that have spread it's haunted. I know.. I know it's a trial site. But it's off season."

She then paused, looking back to see if there was any sort of reaction. Was it convincing enough?

While he had prepared some stuff for a friend in the past, it was still nerve-wracking for Rei to hand Lynn the half chocolate dipped, heart-shaped sugar cookies. He worried a bit that they were too simple, but the simple desserts tasted good enough that he thought that could make up for it.

"Here... I-I hope you like them."

And here Lynn was just about to hand over a delivery bag. Well more like a gift one. Sure the luvdisc insignia was printed on the front but it was tied together with a silk ribbon. A few ghost type pokemon stickers were decorated on it including pink frillish and shiny duskulls.

Inside Rei would find a few malasadas. Sweet ones to be exact. Hearts were drawn on top with sakura flavored icing.

"Happy Valentine's....!" her voice trailed off into something more flustered as she saw that he had brought her a food gift as well. It was true the cookies did look rather simple. But .. "These look adorable ~ . " Placing her own gift into Rei's hands she opened the small package of cookies so she could sample one. Instantly an approving smile formed across her features. Her own hand placing on her cheek. "And they taste reaaaaaally good."

"I mean .. I made you some malasadas. They are popular over in Alola" she exclaimed. Fingers were mentally crossed that he would like these as well.

Oh! It was such a relief that she wasn't the only one who had decided to fill out one of the Valentine's applications between the two of them. That spur of the moment impulsiveness would have ended rather awkwardly if it wasn't for Rei's own decision to gift her with the very same. She lightly clutched onto the paper with both hands.

"Ehhh...I mean why not do something special!?" she exclaimed in a flustered tone. She quickly glanced down reading over more of his answers. A lot of them were pretty wholesome. She did like the idea of cooking together and going to visit the watchtowers which overlooked the sea.

As she read the last line, she spied the mentioned water tera shards and spicy herba mystica. Oh she knew just the pokemon to use the former with. In fact, a certain mightyena perked up from across the room. Nah..clearly she couldn't sense what her trainer was thinking.

Nevermind that. Sucking in her breath she made a quick nod. "I suppose we can call it a date??"
