Mask
A million different portraits
That I am forced to paint
I'll pretend for a while
And let the world think I'm okay
Sometimes it works, it numbs and I forget
Sometimes it doesn't and I continue to fret
I hide from the world but sometimes I wish
That they could see how it's like in my place
I wonder then if they ever see the tears behind
The porcelain smiles encrusted on my face
