#illo52weeks

I am participating in a 52 Week Illustration Challange to try to hone my skills as an artist and to try to find my own unique style. Here is illustration #1 (well technically it’s #49 since I am hopping on this challange at the end of the year. The theme word for this one was “Purple”.

For #illo52weeks (facebook group) I made this illustration. The theme was: homage to favorite artist. I loooooove all the illustrations of Fiep Westendorp. Week 24 #illo52weeks: multiculturalism. I did find it difficult to come with something for this theme but then I figured that the Mippo hippos are a colourful bunch that get along no matter what. #multiculturalism #allfriends

Theme for week 18 was Rain Clouds and this is my catch up entry for #illo52weeks (#52weekillustrationchallenge on Facebook). I’ve drawn the umbrella Mippo before but thought it’d be fun to try a colourful cloud too. Would this be cute for a kids room or baby nursery?
