I think a lawsuit that deserves WAY more attention is Rodriguez v Google. It's something I found out about through the personal effects it apparently had on me, too.
The gist is Google got sued for illegally tracking people and cataloging their data when the features related to them were supposed to be turned off by the phone users.
I received an email about it through, of all places, gmail. And guess where it was sent? Yep, spam. If I hadn't paused and taken a second look, never would have known about it. I would really reccomend anyone to check their own emails to see if they received anything from the Rodriguez v Google case. If you potentially deleted it (as one would do with spam), they do have a website that you could contact them at to double check.
I'm not sure when the deadline for filing to join ends, I did mine earlier this year. I know that the jury in the case ruled Google to be guilty, which would theoretically mean Google would have to pay out. But of course, Google being the assholes they are are trying to get the judge to throw out the case anyway, and if that fails they're going to appeal. So it'll be a while before any payouts are even close to seen.
Just wanted to put this on people's radars after another email showed up with the updates today (which yes, also ended up in spam again, lol, go figure, go fuck yourself Google)
