God i have a problem with endless comma-riddled sentences too but it's not from literature, it's just from how i think. When I see i'm slipping into that habit i go back and mercilessly chop the comma-divided segments into shorter sentences. Press periods in between ideas like push pins into a cork board

nooo it does help! and i will definitely have to do that for later essays hahaha :’)  if i don’t get myself under control i will become the very thing i hate and that would be uhhh bad

Oh man if you liked S1 of Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu I HIGHLY recommend S2!! Also worth watching the Director’s cut of the first ep of S1 if you haven’t seen it. It’s 1 hour 20 minutes long and includes lots of great moments and introduces some characters that become more relevant later on.

Yeah man Vagueing (which sounds to be what this person is doing) is not the right way to reach out to a person who you think did you wrong. Do Nothing is the correct action on your part. Also I have no way of knowing for sure since I wasn’t there but tbh if someone feels like an idiot just because someone else disagreed during a discussion it’s probably on them to do a little inner reflection

some reflection on my part has led me to believe that my main offense was looking a bit like someone trying to understand maths (pick a gif. any gif. that was me) and i understand that it probably didnt feel awesome to have someone looking like that while you’re trying to explain your thoughts but it was literally... i was trying to understand; she had a whole different angle on it than i did and i could not see where her angle was. at no point did i say, imply, or even think that her interpretation was stupid (or worth less than mine), and we dropped it and moved on when it became clear i wasnt gonna get it, so like??????? 

i am genuinely sorry and upset that smth i did in any way led to a classmate feeling uncomfortable but this is not something i think that i can change? it’s what my face looks like. not really sure what i could’ve done differently other than not ask for clarification when smth is confusing to me and thats kinda contrary to what im at university FOR
