People with many (strong) opinions and few arguments usually donât want to be challenged. Itâs understandable; most donât want confrontation or conflict. They want to express their opinions and see others agree. Anybody who actually wants to get down to whatâs right, rather than what they want, would be up to respond to those who offer a different side of thingsâŚespecially if the other side offers points derived from observation and statistics. These studies are done to analyze relationships between variables and help predict outcomes. Do the research before speaking up and speaking loudly. Donât haphazardly post some meme because it agrees with your opinions when you could have easily fact checked yourself (shoutout to the guy who mis-posted about Trayvon Martin and Marley Leon). If you truly want whatâs best for everyone, contemplate both sides. Ignoring the opposition does not make you right. Sure, it makes you less angry. It also makes you a little more ignorant. This is isnât the mindset that will help our nation grow. Yes, everyone has a right to an opinion. Recognizing that itâs âeveryone's rightâ and not just yours is one hurdle to get over. Learning how to properly argue your case to persuade them of your ideas is another. If you canât argue your case, then maybe you (or your idea) is the problem.
My fucking GENDER STUDIES teacher told me that transgenders are "crossdressers" and their identity is not valid until they get bottom surgery. Fuck this fucking class.

Give IIS' One Soul One Quran project a chance, says former Sabah CM
KOTA KINABALU, Feb 26, 2015:
A former Sabah Chief Minister today wants the Islamic Information and Services Foundationâs (IIS) One Soul One Quran project be given a chance.
âWe should give IIS the benefit of the doubt and allow it to embark on this project of information and see where they go from there. (Since) We always condemn extremist Muslims as being misguided and ill informed about what ârealâ Islam is,â said Datuk Seri Salleh Said Keruak, who is also the Sabah State Assembly Speaker.
In his blog posting, entitled âThe Quran project not what was reportedâ, he said people often blamed the education system for breeding extremist Muslims, but when a moderate Muslim organisation like IIS took up the challenge to counter extremist Muslims and radical Islam, they were also equally condemned and not supported.
He said there were loud protests from the Malaysian Consultative Council for Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Sikhism and Taoism (MCCBCHST) regarding the IISâ project, that was launched by former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad recently.
IIS clarified that it had not started distributing any Quran yet, explaining that it would not be distributed randomly among non-Muslims but through religious organisations, and that it was up to non-Muslims to take them or not.
âI suppose this reminds me of that 1960s song, âGive peace a chanceâ, and what IIS is asking for is just to give peace a chance.
âI would support them until and unless it is proven that they have an ulterior motive other than bridging the divide between Muslims and non-Muslims by better educating everyone regarding Islam,â Salleh wrote.
He noted that back in 1998, IIS had a similar project called âHotel Quran Projectâ in which it distributed Qurans to hotels all over Malaysia to be placed in hotel rooms side-by-side with Gideonâs Bible.
That project, which was approved by the Malaysia Islamic Development Department (Jakim) with the endorsement of the then Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, was announced in all the newspapers and covered by the prime time television news.
âSomehow it did not receive the loud protests that it is receiving now. I suppose it was because the announcement then was that the Qurans would be placed side-by-side with Gideonâs Bible so they could not protest the plan to place the Quran in hotel rooms without also protesting about the Bibles.
âIt looks like the negative response was a bit too premature and was based on the misconception that the move was aimed at converting non-Muslims to Islam, which IIS has denied,â he said, adding that its aim was merely to allow non-Muslims to understand Islam to dispel the notion that Islam is a violent religion that preaches extremism and radicalism.
