Listen/purchase: Athens [ft. Rosie Slater] by Ilithios
This band has been one of my local favorites for a few years now; I used to despair that no one danced at shows in NY but I eventually realized I’d just been hanging out in the wrong places. They are going on hiatus, but last night we gathered in a basement for one more spin. At various points, they tossed flowers to the audience; I will admit I scooped this one up from the floor and didn’t actually catch it outright, but nobody else was going for it.
