You aren’t bothering me! I love this fic and everything it’s turning into and would love to talk about it

Some vague ideas that may or may not come to fruition:

-At one point in brainstorming I had the idea of Shadwell being legally allowed to perform marriages and them getting him to do it because there’s a lot of sticky stuff related to religion that they have to untangle very carefully but if they get a friend to marry them, it solves one of those problems

-Gabriel: Why are we talking about dancing? Angels don’t dance.Beelzebub: Demons do.Aziraphale: I’m not sure I’d call what you do dancing.

-They have all of their wedding-planning meetings in public spaces with lots of humans who know Aziraphale and/or Crowley because they want to see if they can make their superiors understand why they love Earth. I haven’t decided exactly how successful they are but I do know I’m making Gabriel sully the temple of his body with gross matter.

-At one point they encounter a religious homophobe and Gabriel goes off. He’s a prick of at least eighteen different shades but his devotion is genuine and sincere and his faith is real.

-Even if he’s a little miffed at the Almighty right now because of the whole “stern talking to” thing.

-Beelz knows, or guesses and suspects, a lot more than she lets on, because being second in command to the king of hell requires a lot of being both observant and capable of keeping one’s mouth shut.

-Demons love weddings

-Beelz and Gabe were friends before the Fall and Gabe has never gotten over the betrayal. Also, a part of them still misses each other.

-Romeo and Juliet may have been inspired by the three hours Crowley spent whinging to Willy Shakespeare about how he and Aziraphale are kept apart by their respective “families” and a feud spanning back older than the Earth itself (Shakespeare assumed this was a metaphor)

-Crowley: Angel,Gabriel: Yes?Crowley: Please tell me I don’t say angel in any way that could be mistaken for me addressing you.

-Aziraphale: I know a danceCrowley: You’re the only one who still knows it, though, so it doesn’t count

-They let the Them plan the reception

-Crowley (with a little help from Aziraphale) goes into a long-winded explanation of what love is and why marriage is an entirely human invention. Gabriel shuts him down by telling him poetry isn’t his strong suit.

-Beelzebub: I do wonder why Satan would be so insistent on your wedding being perfect though.Crowley: Maybe he’s just a big softie deep down.Beelzebub: No, that’s not it

-At one point they have a near-Death experience, but it’s not what you’re thinking

-The only reason they believe Gabriel when he says he’s not here to hurt them is because he looks so upset over it being true that he can’t possibly be lying

-Gabriel lumps sex and eating together because it’s all “putting things into bodies for pleasure”.

-Gabriel: Kinda reminds you of the old days, huh?Beelzebub:Beelzebub: -turns into a cloud of flies and leaves-

I couldn't agree more ,, also this thing about saru being the only one to speak all the languages was tossed into the season like we just learned this about that and suddenly it's relevant when it hadnt ever been mentioned before ?? each of the story lines for this episode could've been a single episode if they actually felt like working them but cramming everything together just

Actually, it has been mentioned before. Maybe in the episode before this one? I don’t remember. But I definitely knew he could speak 94 languages before this episode.

That he was the only one that could communicate with anyone seemed like a stretch though. 

right!!!! the 2d classics tend to hold up really well, and any changes the 3d made, either in completely plot changes or added lore, have been received pretty unenthusiastically. 

in the case of the princess, I mostly understand the appeal of having newer, shinier princess with some real actresses faces on them. and I would kill for a non racist well toned peter pan adaptation but even cinderella and belle ...didn’t exactly introduce anything new to young girls. they were already being raised on the disney classics!! 

I actually really liked the jungle book adaptation, but they did a complete overhaul on the plot, and was far too much of a grimdark twist for a disney film!!!!!!!! I’m terrified to see what they’ll do to dumbo

and with the lion king.... they’re not even adding a single human face! there’s only going to be four songs! no zazu will ever be as good as rowan atkinson! are the hyenas going to dance??

In a position of power like that, and even in spite of all that and of his cowardice he tried so hard to do the right thing and I will forever love his character and respect him bc of that
