I don't think we give enough credit to Emma for being a woman actively participating in politics during the time when women couldn't even have proper education, let alone be allowed to participate in politics. It's mentioned across various events and routes she's constantly being underestimated for being a woman AND a commoner. In some events, Chevalier explains that usually women don't deeply participate in politics—not even queens. There are ministers who think that it's weird for Emma to be involved with politics at all. There are nobles who aren't satisfied with that fact as well. And yet, despite facing blatant sexism left and right, she still continues to hold her head high and work hard, she still continues to prove people wrong and show them that she is capable of handling politics just like men do. She could just sit and enjoy tea at parties but she still gets involved in politics and challenges patriarchy at the same time.
