              The pain Vincent was feeling right now was indescribable. It was only a .22 caliber to the shoulder, but the wound oozed with blood and occasionally chunks of raw meat. It was something he had never experienced before and nothing he wished to feel again. It felt as if someone took all the pressure in the world and hit him with it on his shoulder. Plus, the pain that came with having an open wound with air constantly breezing over it and making it even sorer as the minutes passed. The only help he had right now was Tris and although she was trying it wasn’t really much. ❝ Aw shit! ❞  He groaned out in pain when she pressed the cloth used to control the bleeding a little too hard against him. ❝ I know you have to apply pressure, but I don’t think you have to do it that hard! ❞  He snarled out, pushing her hand away and using his own.

          ❝ Since when has drug dealing been considered a strenuous physical activity? ❞  When any movement you make causes sharp pain in your arm due to the additional trauma you caused by removing it in a not so medically correct way; that’s when. It was bothersome and he would probably take laying at home in bed resting over getting product ready any day, but he couldn’t do that. It wasn’t like he could take sick days or anything. Business never stopped, so neither did he. ❝ You can try, but you’ll fail. ❞  He warns her as he returns back to the process of weighing the little baggies. ❝ I don’t have time to be taking breaks from this. I need money, so I can’t stop. I’ll end up with my head chopped out in the desert somewhere if I told my boss I needed to take a break. ❞

          The aroma of alcohol was strong on Rose’s breath. From the way her eyes hooded, mouth leaned slightly to the side, and the way she could hardly form a sentence without burping or slurring her words was a clear indicator of her drunken state. She was doing so good. Three weeks sober, only a few days away from a month and her first chip, but of course she had to go and mess that all up. She felt like a failure, but the alcohol coursing through her veins helped hide those feelings.  ❝ Why are we leaving so early? ❞ The lawyer questioned Tris, head tilting to the side gently but quickly moving back up from the headache that started to form. Sure, she was drunk but not at the level of blackout that she wanted to be in. Still, not like she had much control over her body anyway, she found herself limp against her friend’s body. Arms wrapped tightly around her and body leaning against her as she escorted her out of the bar. She was surely going to be embarrassed over this tomorrow morning.

          A soft chuckle left the man’s lips, but it wasn’t one filled with much humor.  ❝ You think this is fucking funny? ❞ He asks in a mock tone voice, hand motioning towards Angelique to take his place of holding the rag to the man’s bloody nose.. Getting up from his position, he makes his way over to her letting out a disappointed sigh.  ❝ Our main goal here isn’t to hurt people, Pat. It’s to get the money then get the fuck out of here with no casualties. ❞ He reminds her, index finger pointing in her face.  ❝ Look, I care about you so I’m not gonna let you go or anything, but this is becoming more common and I’m not liking it. That rage might keep you warm at the moment, but it’ll leave you dead and cold if you keep it up the way you are. ❞

          ❝ That sounds like a drinking problem to me, mamas. ❞ The criminal points out, wine cooler ironically in his hands as he does so. He knows he’s the last one who should be scolding anyone on their life choices, but that doesn’t mean he can’t spit a little bit of advice every now and then. Plus, Tris was the type of person who needed all the advice she could get.  ❝ Like too much of anything and it can become a problem. Cars, shoes, money, etc can all become problems and addictions. Drugs are not the only thing contrary to popular belief. ❞
