I wonder if Lestat is the cause of the witches burning and Gabriella takes him to watch so he can take some sort of responsibility for the situation.
Not to say that Lestat is at fault…more like he was involved in some way that caused/led to the witches burning.
That would tie into the similarities of Lestat and Claudia watching Charlie burn (cleaning up her messes) and also tie into Daniel questioning why Lestat remembers their names all those years later. Also could possibly tie into Lestat being a catalyst in many big situations and circumstances.

Oh! That’s a really interesting theory, anon, and I could definitely see it! It’d potentially be a really effective parallel with Claudia and Charlie, but also a cool way to explore that early ingraining of good and evil with Lestat too. The only thing that gives me a bit of pause with it is that Lestat doesn’t seem to know why Gabi took him to the witches place, which might undermine him taking Claudia in that way? It’ll be really interesting to see what the show does with it though!
