Morning! I just think that sometimes it takes a little bit of a VISUAL to understand everything that's done to make something so SMALL happen. I have showcased in this video a little bit of what it's like when I'm EDITING. it's a little bit humorous... but this is literally what it takes / is like. It's not JUST the acting- but because of #Covid19 (and even 3yrs before then) you have to be an ENGINEER, a MIXER, an A/V tech... etc. It takes time. You have to do all these things! So, I advise every single Actor, Emcee or Musician I know: PAY ATTENTION TO THE ENGINEERS & DIRECTORS when you're in studio. LEARN from them. I've been PRIVILEGED to work alongside a young man at RENAISSANCE STUDIOS in BURBANK name Aaron Florence for over 5 years w/ @NBC (fastest mind & hands in the GAME), as well as Yvonne Viner over at @sbvtalent (taught me software, placement and how to embody choices). Let me not forget Keith at @pcbentertainment (How to lovingly direct ppl.). I've learned from ALL of them, just watching them edit they've taught me sooooooo much just by letting me watch them work. So now the way that I edit/direct is almost exactly like them, cause if it aint broke- don't fix it. I edit myself AS I am doing the actual AUDITION mentally, so I do a lot of takes (7-10 somtimes) to get down to the 3 (or 2) that's submitted. To the point I may even snatch a sentence from take 1 and put it in take 9 and use the brand name from take 5. This, my friends, is what it takes to get to where we wanna be. Plus, BEING HONEST (remember I said watch the Director?) when you do your thing. Pay attention to the nuances and intent so your PRODUCT feels real! Stop letting others get into your head. Reflect on your past and be better. Learn from history, don't destroy it. Learn to be better for you. Happiness is in the flow of life not in your past. There will always be people who are bitter but you cannot control that. Try this simple spell to help you deal with stress, now or at any time of the year. Fill a bowl with sand or salt (beach sand is great, if you can get it, but plain old salt will do). When I was younger my mom always had me in summer camps and on certain days we would go to the pool. All of the kids had to pass a swimming test to be able to swim in the deep pool with the diving boards. We had to swim from one end of the pool to another. I tried so many times but kept stopping because I didn’t believe hard enough and would lose my breath…I was scared. I eventually made it across and was able to swim with all of friends. I went off of every diving board and was only 8. Moral of the story ...never give up.
