Perhaps he had offered it in jest, perhaps he had meant to mock her with it, that she was too bound to her creator to ever leave his side.Ā
Or perhaps he had meant it in earnest. It only mattered that he had offered it in the first place. A road trip, a chance to explore something out of Detroit, and to make new memories.Ā
Of course, she couldnāt deny that she would have preferred to take such a trip with Elijah, the person she was closest to, but it didnāt take an android detective to know that Connor was not comfortable around Elijah. Nobody would blame her for saying no. After all, he had held a gun to her head. But Chloe had never held that against him, never would. It had all ended well, and now androids were free.
