Team Principal Liz Snow glances at the list of young driver applicants. "Logan Long? Did he eff up and give us his porn name?"

Lea snorts. "Is he Canadian?" She holds up three fingers, hoping someone else in the room gets the comic book reference.

"American."

"Where'd you find an American?" Liz's assistant asks.

"We just recruited 3. This one, though..." She spins the sheet of paper around under her index finger. "Not only is he a freaking frost giant, but he hasn't even scored a top ten in any series he's raced in."

Cammy finally looks up from her phone. "I hear he is quite good at ze Playstation games." Neither Lea nor Liz can tell if she's joking. Like usual. Before they can ask for a clarification, Cammy is back to typing out yet another French-language Facebook post about fashion or her new Porsche or whatever.

Lea raises her hand. "Veto."

Cammy says, "Seconded."

Liz slides the application off the desk and into the trash bin. Her assistant rescues it and scurries off to send the poor kid a polite rejection letter.

"Screw this. I think I'm gonna send the scouts back to Finland."

In perfect unison, Lea and Cammy high five and shout, "SISU," startling Liz's assistant, who just barely dodges getting slapped in the head as he walks by.

I've been playing iGPManager, and I've managed to drag Boor into it because I'm a terrible influence XD Since the in-game avatars for the drivers and staff are generic, we've started drawing our drivers (and creating them in the Saint's Row 4 character editor because, well, it's a good tool for sketching out a character design quickly). That led to coming up with back stories for them as well.

This is Lea Smith. She's a former snowmobile and dirt bike racer from Calgary, Alberta who always dreamed of getting a ride in Formula 1 like her idol, Gilles Villeneuve. She joined the then-rookie team Ace of Race, based out of Sweden, and immediately shot up the ranks. After coming in 3rd in the driver's standings in her 4th season as a rookie, she and her team were promoted to Pro, where she currently stands at 18th place with 1 point before the Hungarian GP.

She has a bit of a rebellious streak and tends to worry her team boss when she shows up at sponsor events dressed like she just hopped off a snowcat back in the frozen north, but her driving skills make up for it. Her driving heroes, besides Gilles, are Kimi Raikkonen and James Hunt, and it shows. She's rough around the edges when it comes to personality and presentation, but she's fiercely loyal to her team, and is often seen after hours spending time in the garage, talking with her mechanics and learning more about the car. Her hard work makes up for having slightly less natural talent than her highly-touted teammate, the French driver Camille Perrot. The two share equal consideration within the team.

Her favorite musician is Buck 65, she likes ice cream and ketchup chips, hates asparagus, and has a comical love for cute animals.
