When Ignis finally woke, he didn’t know how many days have passed. Was he even still alive? Maybe he had died, and gone to heaven, but what would heaven want with a man like him? What kind of assassin and advisor failed to protect his King? Being dead would be better than living with this shame, but he slowly realised that he was indeed still alive. He heard some faint muttering, the flapping of a curtain in a breeze, steps.Â
But he didn’t see a thing, and his eyes were open. What kind of nightmare was this? His entire body, it seemed to be fine, but his eyesight it was gone. “Mors..” How can he see whether his King is fine or not without working eyes? “Mors.”Â
Ignis tried to sit up from the bed he felt with his palms, but his body was still sluggish. Please, Mors must be alive. “The King! Is he..” Was someone here? He needed answers. Ignis groaned in exhaustion and leaned back against the pillow when raising his torso became too much.
