Angie! I wanted to tell you before I told anyone else... but I've been named Quidditch Captain.. dunno how well it'll go considering half the team won't be returning to Hogwarts because of You-Know-Who, but I'm captain nonetheless, so I suppose yay for the little things.
Ginny!
This is so exciting, I would say I canât believe it but who are we kidding, we both knew you had it in you. That can put a huge damper on things but hey a title is a title. Maybe by the following year this will all be over and you can have a proper shot at quidditch captain, it is something Iâd like to believe ⊠Or maybe an underground quidditch league is in order, though that is hardly a joking matter over a letter.
I will see you soon, fondly,
Angie

â ââ Good J O B Gin. I  mean,  I'll be honest:         mum's probably going to kill you, but I'm proud.         Seriously. â

â something is so terribly, terribly wrong. â
she fought the urge to laugh hysterically in his face. not out of amusement, not out of cruelty, but out of the sickening reality that this was their lives. instead, her reaction mirrored that of someone whose sanity was still intact, though she wasnât sure how much longer she could feign this sense of togetherness. her brows furrowed in concern, chocolate eyes scanning the floor while she thought of what to say.
the carrows were allowed to work in hogwarts. the carrows were allowed to punish students. the carrows, the carrows, the carrows⊠she could go on && on about all the hell theyâve raised this past school year â but she knew she didnât have to with neville. they had been by each otherâs side throughout this whole fiasco. for him to say what he did, she knew some innocent was down in the dungeons with them right now, probably getting the cruciatus curse as they spoke. she would know â she was one of those students before.
simply shaking her head, she looks at neville, taking him in for what he was: a completely changed bloke, a natural leader. none of them wouldâve made it through without him stepping up to the plate. she had loyally stood by his side throughout, helping in every which way she could. it often included rescue missions of the younger students, bringing them back to the room of requirement to hide out with dumbledoreâs army. some army they were, though â she still felt completely useless, standing on the sidelines. she wanted to help harry, to help the order. but instead she was locked away in a hidden room, hiding from the death eaters that ran amuck.
â Â Â youâd think weâd be used to this by now, wouldnât you? â Â she asks him, head tilting as her hair falls across one shoulder. Â â Â i guess thereâs no way you can, really. but i just canât accept this anymore, neville. i really canât. Â â Â Â then her eyes shift over to seamus who is doing his homework on godric gryffindor â thatâs it! the sword of gryffindor. Â suddenly, her mood changes somewhat, she seemed positive for the first time in months. Â â Â come with me, iâve got an idea. Â â
âUsed to it?â Neville actually does laugh, softly, barely loud enough to reach Seamus nearby. The fewer people hear them, the better. Complaining about the Carrows is a surefire way to wind up back in the dungeon with them, and a lot of the students have taken to turning each other in as a way to avoid punishment for themselves. It only helps a little, but any time you donât have spend under the Cruciatus Curse... Neville canât bring himself to hate anyone for it, though, especially the younger students. If heâs able to step in...
Heâs lost in his own thoughts, unaware of the new light shining in Ginnyâs eyes until she beckons to him. âWhat? Hang on... idea about what? Itâs after curfew, if Iâm gonna risk being caught wandering the castle it had better be for something important.â

HC + daughter
HC meme / accepting
Arthur absolutely adores Ginny. Never mind daddyâs little girl, more like daughterâs dad (or some weird mix of the fact that Arthur is basically obsessed with her). She completes their family, and Arthur couldnât be more proud of her. Even after what happened to Ginny in her first year, he was just concerned more than anything. Arthur would go to the ends of the Earth for his daughter.
@ignecomas liked x for a starter!Â
âyou wouldnât rat on your own brother, now, would you?â ron asked as he put a small frog in deanâs backpack as a prank--totally not because of the fact that heâs been making his sister cry, no sir.Â

â   â alright, then let me start this off by sayinâ youâre lookinâ rather finetonight, harry.  â  her sense of humor typically presents itself most when sheâs deflecting, and thatâs exactly what she was doing right now. though, she knew sheâd have to get serious && respond to him like an actual person would, a normal person who had an actual grip on their feelings.
a sigh seems to work its way out, tongue swiping over dry lips to help moisturize them. (here we go gin, time time to be insightful)  â  fucked up? well, youâre definitely that, arenât you? but we all are, so donât make this all about you.  â  she teased, then shaking her head, she goes to the next item on his list,  â  insecure? alright, boy wonder,  â  she began, using the nickname the newspapers and tabloids gifted him in an ironic sense,  â  i get that, arenât we all?  && needy? oh yes, youâre definitely needy.  â  here she was vaguely referencing their time spent together as a couple, though she didnât want to flat out say it â she wasnât sure where they were at currently.  â  ah, lastly : emotional. well, considering the life youâve had, that weâve all had, i think itâs safe to say weâve all earned the right to be emotional.  â  (not that sheâd ever dare show it)
this was all an attempt to try to cheer him up, which led her to smile softly at him, nudging his shoulder playfully with her own.  â   itâs not all about you,oh mighty chosen one. i guess iâm F I N E too.  â
Harry downed another shot of tequila--his head already warm and cloudy--as Ginny wound up. He chuckled dryly at her performance for it was very much an act, one that had him hooked. Harry always considered Ginny well put together although heâd noticed the cracks more since the end of the war. Her confidence radiated through each cutting insight. He scoffed. âBoy wonder? I think I deserve an upgrade to man wonder,â he argued, a rare smile creeping across his dark, tired features.Â
He poured himself another shot but didnât drink right away. âYouâre pretty aces at hiding it though. I, on the other hand, have drunk uncle written all over me.â Ron and Hermione had recently announced that they were pregnant and it had thrown him for a loop. He didnât see himself hitting that milestone anytime soon; not when he was so perpetually single and hung up on the girl beside him. It seemed that everyone was moving on. Even Ginny had supposedly been spotted out with some bloke. That was of course according to the Prophet, a paper legendary for getting things wrong. âThere are good emotions,â he hinted. âOr so Iâm told,â he added with a dash of sarcasm. âAfter all, youâve gotta be happy when youâre out on the town with Bollinger.â He repeated the rumor casually, as if it was obviously fact. She could do with that what she wanted.Â
