TMB TP43 for Parquet Flooring
TRADITIONAL AND PRE-FINISHED PARQUET
The system does not allow roughing to be performed on traditional first-lay parquet flooring, and accordingly, the TOR Technology system can be used to achieve excellent restoration results on old floors and pre-finished parquet.
Inspect the floor thoroughly to determine the finish that it had originally, the extent of the damage and the size of the area to be restored. Take deep scratches and wear into account when selecting the grain size of the abrasive discs to be used first (grain size 36-60-80-100-120). Generally, on a floor with simple wear, it is advisable to begin with grain size 60/80.
Having reached grain size 100-120, the finish can be improved by using a pad holder and a white or yellow pad with mesh grain size of 180-220 approximately.
This operation will prepare the surface to receive the final selected treatment, with varnish, wax, oil etc. After the finishing treatment, in addition to the aesthetic appearance desired, whether glossy, satin, matte or natural, the flooring will also be beautiful, protected and easy to clean.
Restoration and Maintenance
Pad holder with green and red pad.
Use a detergent containing vegetable solvents to remove greasy dirt and any residues from wax-based treatments without getting the parquet flooring too wet.
On a dry floor:
Pad holder with white or yellow pad and a mesh grain size of 180-220
For finishing the surface - Vacuum any residues and apply the protection used originally (wax, varnish, oil etc.)

Procedure
Usually, a floor has areas of greatest wear concentrated in certain parts of the room, while in other parts of the floor, the initial shine has practically remained intact despite it being rendered unrecognisable by multiple layers of wax and dirt. When finishing the floor with a solvent-based or water-based varnish, it is essential to remove all of the existing varnish, even that which is still shiny. It is important to work evenly across the entire floor. Clearly, then, the characteristics of the job will vary on different parts of the floor, despite these being in the same room.
Always remember that the quality of the finished result always depends on how thoroughly and precisely the first grinding passes are performed with the initial grain sizes, as this part of the job serves to ensure that the surface of the floor is uniform.
After selecting the initial grain size, fit the disc on the machine. It is advisable to equip the machine with the double weight and the vacuum unit for dust.
Begin grinding by slowly moving the single disc machine in front of you, following the grain or the direction of the wood where possible.
During this first step, stop working often and check the result. Continue grinding until the deeper scratches disappear and any loose, "dead" wood has been removed.
After vacuuming the residue and moving on to the next grain size, continue grinding until the scoring left by the previous grain size has been eliminated.
Once the final disc/mesh has been passed over the floor, carefully vacuum everything and with an anti-static cloth, wipe the entire floor. This operation will discharge the electrostatic current from the floor, generated by the grinding and subsequent vacuuming with the vacuum cleaner. It will prevent pitting from appearing on the finish of the dry floor.
