always i am arguing with myself about how much of a pain in the ass i want to be with the epistolary stuff in tmb. like to a certain extent i want u to have to work to extract the full value of information in there right like im a dragon age bitch at heart. the trick is getting across a surface level of info easily while also making it worthwhile for the nerds who are compelled to cross reference
seems insane that you can spend years writing a 300+ page novel only for it to take less than 8 hours to read through it

when you first start deliberately improving your writing craft to the point of intentionally putting allegory and symbolism and shit in there you really spend so much time thinking about it and picking the perfect moments and angles to be like this key..... represents freedom........... from society's expectations..................... and then after you internalize and assimilate that skill to a certain point you're really just tossing stuff in the soup. you're taking stuff and you're tossing it in the soup and hey it feels right so why not toss this stuff in the soup. and you have to toss the right stuff in for the soup to have a nice rich depth of flavour y'know but boy there you are just. tossing ingredience. into the soup. and it reads so much better than when you were being so so so careful but you have to go through the so so so careful phase to get to soup tossing. is this relatable
