Movies I've watched in 2020
Finding Dory: ⭐⭐⭐⭐. Great movie. Same vibes as Finding Nemo, of course. I thought it was very funny.
Let It Snow: ⭐. A teen movie that's enjoyable to watch, but not enough. Not beautiful, funny nor touching enough.
Sherlock Gnomes: ⭐⭐⭐. That's a good animation. Funny, cute. Not outstanding.
Rocketman: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. I didn't even had any feelings for Elton John before watching it but that's an amazing movie. A very poetic touch into a biography. I loved it!
Joker: ⭐⭐⭐⭐. I think I expected more because everyone was talking about it. Nevertheless, still a good movie. The acting is great.
A Dog's Will (O Auto Da Compadecida): ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. I had already watched it but that's SO good, I don't even have words. It's a brazilian movie that everyone should give a try (yes, even if it's not american). It's funny as hell (pun intended) but it's also a social criticism.
Maleficent: Mistress of Evil. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. It's very easy to mess up with sequels, but that didn't happen. It's a very enjoyable movie to watch (forest creatures, pretty women and adventure) but it's good and it had a nice plot.
Abominable: ⭐⭐. It's not bad, but it didn't cause a big impression on me. It's wholesome.
Miss Americana: ⭐⭐⭐⭐. Yes, I'm also putting documentaries here. It's really well done, I thought it was interesting and it felt intimate. Reminded me of when I was obsessed with Taylor Swift.
Missing Link: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. Loved this one! It was cute, it was funny, but it also had a criticism in it. Made me think about Brazil's current political state while I also laughed. If I'm being honest, I thought it was a bit rushed at times, but still, love it.
Birds of Prey: ⭐⭐⭐⭐. It's not the best movie ever made but what's not to like about girls who wear cool clothes and can fight??
Doctor Sleep: ⭐. It's hard for me to not like a movie but well... I really didn't. The plot was bad by itself but what made it even worse is that The Shining was so simple yet so good. And then they tried really hard to make an interesting sequel but it ended up being a mess.
My Neighbor Totoro: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. It's too cute, it should be illegal. What I loved about it is that it didn't need a villain for the plot to develop. The bad is on everyday situations and you have to learn with it. Also, forest spirits.
The Addams Family (2019): ⭐⭐⭐⭐. Really good! I really liked Wednesday's character development. Didn't cause the biggest impression either, but it's a good movie.
To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You: ⭐⭐. Teen romance. Nice to watch, but I prefered the first movie. Not bad, not good.
The Great Gatsby: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. WHY did I take so long to watch it?? The photography is marvelous. The outfits are enviable. Everyone there sucks but the cinematography? Splendid.
Parasite: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. Darker than I thought it was. But what can I say that hasn't already been said? Brilliant. Oscar worthy, I would say.
Favorite one? It's a tie between The Great Gatsby and A Dog's Will.
Least favorite? Doctor Sleep
