I like making comments (in Google Docs) on my own writing. I think it helps a lot with figuring out characters and plot, and also finding the interesting moments that get me excited.
Reasons?
Helps me find out where I got out of character, because going back I can go "HE WOULD NOT SAY THAT" in the comments
I lowkey can just react to my own writing without the immediate pressure of having to edit/fix these errors
Rediscovery of funny one-liners!
I can now pinpoint possible points where I can instill foreshadowing/have good set ups that can foreshadow stuff that I NOW know is going to happen
It helps me sort out direction of the plot and what points probably need to be changed or guided better
I can sort out what's still canon and what's no longer canon and find the exact placement of when those happen so that they can be fixed.
Entertainment for my co-author who dreads rereading everything (unlike me, who is doing this 100% willingly)
Also entertainment for our mutual friend who is going to get forced to read the manuscript even though it's an absolutely absurd length

Fixed the infinite paperwork plot glitch by making the boss give a psycho amount of paperwork
But then the boss got captured by a god and is probably dead and my girl is still doing paperwork.
EVEN THOUGH she doesn't even have a job and is currently crashing at her demon situationship's place and her infinite paperwork-giving boss is on a missing person's list
Main character's love interest is about to be sacrificed in a dark magic ritualistic type thing in order to grant god-like powers to the chosen vessel.
She's more concerned about her dog, who she left at home before getting dragged into Hell and imprisoned.

I have no idea how to do POVs for the IDTF
because, like, our semi-omniscient narrator likes to WANDER. I’m talking there’s probably a POV for every character and the main characters are constantly changing
And also there are two simultaneous plot lines and the main cast is only partially involved only part of the time in the side plot but BOTH are very important for lore

would people hate it if I just rotated POVs at random?? Like we’re taking 5 chapters following one character, 3 random chapters of other characters, then back to that one other character with occasional interruptions-
