I’ve been meaning to talk about how little shops of horrors general message is still so applicable to modern day and it’s absolutely crazy
One of the first things we learn in the “I want” song of the musical that being skid row is that both our main characters have a related goal of leaving where they currently live literally, needing to get out of there but being stuck for multiple reasons this sentiment is one that we see perpetuated a LOT online, then here comes this big seemingly all knowing force promising to solve all those problems and fix everything without really addressing the actual problem in exchange for something “simple” logical even that in doing it actually creates even more problems,
This isn’t really even scratching the surface of the economic commentary in little shop but I feel I’ve said enough for now
