@idsuran, produce project compound, off-camera ( episode one thread )
san hadnāt wanted to do this. heād actually been hoping they wouldāve been so angry at his unannounced vacation that they would wipe his schedule in punishment. but maybe they knew that was what he wanted, or maybe they just liked the large chunk of the paycheck his contract required he hand over to midas. so mentor was slapped to his name, and he got tossed into a show that relied on long hours so they could jigsaw it all together and into something entertaining later. his scheduleās still too packed. he wants to be home layered underneath four quilts with the aircon cranked high just so he has something to spend his money on.Ā
but the cameras are off now, after too many hours stuck in a chair judging all the contestant that spun out across the stage like shiny new tops. he thinks itās a little unfair to those slated later. his attention had started dwindling near the halfway point. by the end he was tired and pissed off. granted, he didnāt show it. that doesnāt fit into the san-friendly image, prepackaged and palatable for the public. but midas had given him the okay to play up the hard-working angle of his image. to stress the importance of work. to give someone constructive criticism. heād probably have mentally checked out completely if they made him settle into a face-aching smile and declare that everyone was completely wonderful.
he snags at one of the free lattes set out for the staff and sips at it as he wanders further into the studio, away from the main stage. heād leave, but they told him to stick around. wait for a personal interview that they could film before he left. so heās still stuck, and theyād already grabbed yena first. and yohanās nowhere to be found. possibly taking shots of whiskey behind the building, and san doesnāt care enough about his liver to go looking for him. so he ends up dropping down into one of the scattered chairs, spies one of the girls heād seen earlier. heād actually liked their performance. it had at least been different, and they put effort into what he was supposed to be helping with. now? the smileās wiped from her face, and she looks just as miserable as he does.Ā ābad luck?ā he asks, because he honestly canāt remember any of the feedback theyād gotten. it had all started to blur together in a kaleidoscope of an experience.
