But to tell his younger brother that their father wanted him to move in with him, it was palpable that Kou will no doubt move out before Ruki could even turn up at his district.

Up until now, Ruki still couldn't wholly make sense of why Kou had a yen for moving out by himself. The declaration was so spontaneous that even Ruki had felt a dearth of time to think before allowing the blond to move out.

'I just can't depend on you all the time. I need to grow up and learn how to take care of things by myself.' Kou's remark still rung in the dark-haired male's mind, his heather-greyed eyes narrowed to some extent at how he was no longer needed by his younger brother. He didn't want that. And he was damn sure Kou didn't want that either but had still taken the risk of living by himself. Who would remind him not to speak with his mouth full? Who would be there to remind him that he's not at the oprhanage anymore whenever nightmares would strike him in the middle of the night? Who would be there to remind him of his manners? Ruki could just picture the piteous souls the younger Mukami had badgered and tormented.

And to make matters worse, Kou hadn't been contacting him or any of their brothers which was uncharacteristic of him. Being the eldest, of course, Ruki knew that he needed to step up and find out what's going on with the blond's head. Which now brings us to this young neatly-dressed male standing before the door of Kou's apartment. He had chosen to visit him in the dead of the night after consideration to make sure that he was home.
