1/2 So, I just read Chapter 17 of the Wolf II and I'll get to the smut in a minute (the best for last)...First, I LOVED giddy Caroline about Elijah and Gia. I think it was really in character for Caroline. A lot of dark shit has happened to her and it was nice to see a bit of the "old" Caroline from the early TVD days. I also liked how there were some parallels in the chapter between Klaus/Caroline's relationship and Elijah/Gia - with the reflection about what they are to one another.
2/2 AND THE SMUT. You definitely ended the chapter on a hard spot (pun 100% intended). And I'm here for Klaus's downward spiral if it means him doing more downward spirals in between Caroline's thighs, LOL. But seriously, you have zero to be self conscious about - it was perfect! It was great to see Klaus heeding Elijah's advice from the last chapter and it seems like the moment was about reassurance and submission for both of them.... (I lied Part 3 is on the way)
Anyways, I have to say it seemed like Klaus was doing more submitting than anything (even though he was adamant that it was about making Caroline need him). Anyways, it was steamy and perfect *fans self* Also, is it weird that I like that they have separate rooms and have sleepovers? I can't remember, but has Caroline slept over in Klaus's room? If not, I'm waiting patiently for it. OH, and the wolves overhearing was a bonus! Pleeees write more smut. It's a nice little treat. :D

I’m so glad you liked the light-hearted shipper!Caroline moments. lol I always felt like she was the one character who kept some sense of normalcy in TVD. While everyone else was super broody and afflicted and very supernatural-oriented, if that makes any sense, Caroline was the one who still cared about things outside of that realm - be it birthdays or pageants or gossip. lol It’s part of what always made her so likable for me.

Tbh, so is he! 😂 Very happy you enjoyed the smut! 🙈🙈 I know it might sound idiotic how I seem so concerned with that part when it’s the smallest bit of the story, but I think bad smut just ruins the whole mood. For me, at least. So I am extremely self-conscious, especially since I’ve had lukewarm response to previous semi-attempts. It’s definitely out of my writing comfort zone. It’s so hard to write those scenes! Almost as hard as action scenes!!
Also, is it weird that I like that they have separate rooms and have sleepovers? I can't remember, but has Caroline slept over in Klaus's room?
It is not weird because I am very much an enthusiast of separate rooms! lol I think that’s needed when you’re in a relationship with someone like Klaus. He’s way too temperamental, and also, in my own personal headcanon, doesn’t sleep that much (just because I don’t think vampires need that much rest when they don’t physically tire, especially the really old ones). I’m not sure if it was ever mentioned her sleeping Klaus’ room, but she definitely has. But because Caroline’s is connected to the baby’s, I think they spend more time in hers, for practical reasons.
