Гэвин после очередного медосмотра узнает что болен раком и в тайне ото всех в участке начинает проходить лечение. Однажды он не выходит на службу из-за метастазов и попадает в больницу. Рик находит его в самом худшем из возможных состояний и начинает приходить в больницу каждый день. Он рядом с Гэвином во время химии, он помогает ему вставать и кормит его с ложки. Рид все время кричит, что не хочет помощи от тостера, его слабость доводит его до слез. Ричард все равно рядом. Он каждый день целует Гэвина прикрываясь тем что анализирует слюну и уровень облучения, проверяет уходит ли рак. Его система дает сбой когда рак начинает прогрессировать и Риду становится все хуже. Андроид проводит ночи в палате не сводя глаз с Гэвина. Рид все понимает, он не тупой, болей больше, врачи отводят глаза, андроид укланяется от разговора. И он сбегает из больницы. Едет к морю, от болезни ему все хуже и хуже и к концу пути машину ведет Рик. Умирает он на побережье признавшись в своих чувствах к Ричарду, поблагодарив что тот был рядом. Он велит Рику стереть себе память, забыть о нем и вернутся в кибер лайф но 900 отключается сразу после похорон Гэвина.

After another medical check-up Gavin find out that he is sick with cancer. He hide it and starting treatment. One day he gets so bad that he must go to hospital. Pain from metastases really strong, he cant go to work. Richard (rk900) finds him in hospital in very bad condition and he start helping him. Rick is always there for him when he need to go to wc, or eat, he helping him after chemo and kisses him every day for 'analysis'. Even when Gavin tell him to go away, because Richard should not see him like this, and he cries because his helpless situation hurt him so much but Rick is always there. He check that Gavin takes medication and how cancer goes. His software break down when Gavin's cancer gets worse. Rick spending nights in hospital, watching after Gavin all the time. Reed is not idiot, he understand why his pain get worse, why doctors hiding eyes and why his android dont wanna talk about his cancer.
So he running away from hospital with android and going to see ocean. In the end Gavin cant drive anymore so Rick do it for him. Gavin dies on the beach, watching sun rising hugging Richard. He tells to Rick that he loves him, he appriciate him and asking to wipe out his memory and go back to Cyber Life. Rick deactivate himself when funeral is done. He could never forget & forgive Gavin for his last words.
