Guys, guys, hear me out, cause I'm once again spiralling down into JCS rabbit hole... So yesterday I went to see local JCS show and, tbh, I was going there with firm belief it's gonna be shitty. (Fast forward, it most definitely was not.) I mean, it's one of my top five fav musicals, never seen it live as me lives in Poland and I do not trust translation and aesthetics of the JCS shows here. I saw snippets of various Polish versions and they were usually dull, weird in bad sense or oddly conservative.

Not this time, baby! So since it was a local show, in Toruń (not a big city), I expected it to be... You know... But, damn, it was good. So basically they chose immersive format, meaning there was no real stage, but scaffoldings of sorts and actors were all around us, interacting, dancing and all. It was also a silent disco show so we had glowing headphones to listen to the show. They chose club/strip club aestethics with audience being inside the club like, you know, part of the show. Pharisees were portrayed as drug dealers and Judas, in finale, bought drugs from them to overdose instead of usual hanging. Basically, all bad guys in power gave club owners vibe. And being part of it, and being, at the end taken by hand by actors to stand by the cross... Bloody amazing.

And me liked Judas a lot. Aesthetics and all. It even pushed me to draw these two, Jesus and Judas, and God knows I did not touch my tablet in months (it was all dusty 😅).

Anyways, dedicate it to @purple-confusion . Just because you're still here, posting JCS stuff and I appreciate it. And also once you tagged me saying you miss me and I saw it and it was lovely to be missed... Know it's not one of versions you know, but it's still JCS. 💜
