â This attraction is about the initial burst of sweetness and excitement that one feels when they meet someone new and delightful. It's akin to experiencing a sudden sugar rush - the kind that makes your heart pound, mind race, and cheeks flush. Those experiencing Gelatineux are often overwhelmed with a playful and youthful joy, eager to see and talk to the person who sparks this sugary excitement. They get sudden, impulsive desires to engage in silly activities with the object of attraction. â

(idea anon) idea: another time travel fix it. but, instead of Sister Location and Micheal, Vanessa and Gregory are helping Evan during fnaf 4. The image of both boys on one side of the left door, with Evan hiding behind Gregory (who has the fazerblaster) and Vanessa on the other side of the door with her crowbar, ready to smash Nightmare Bonnie's head in, is too amusing to ignore.
Number thirteen on the prompt list, here we go! So this is a sequel to The Michael Afton Protection Squad that takes place an undetermined amount of time later, lol. Thereâs no actual action in this ficlet because I was in the mood for dialogue and also had Emotions over how an older Michael would react to seeing Evan alive again with the chance to prevent his death. Really enjoyed writing this one, honestly. Enjoy!
The Evan Afton Protection Squad
Evan huddled under the covers, flashlight gripped tight in both hands, watching as the numbers on his clock slowly ticked closer to midnight. He trembled, shivering uncontrollably with fear and dread. A heavy weight sat in his chest, and just as he had every night this past week, he felt sick to his stomach.
A nightmareâhis nightmareâwas about to begin again.Â
He sniffled and closed his eyes for a moment, assured that his terror would keep sleep far away. Tears soaked into his pillow.Â
There were still ten minutes to go when he heard his door creak open and footsteps tread closer to his bed. They were light, though, nowhere near the heaviness of the monsters.Â
But he still hesitated to peek. Just because his visitor wasnât a monster didnât mean they were nice.Â
Only when the person silently, hesitantly, settled on the edge of his bed did Evan poke his head out of the covers, hoping he wasnât about to get in trouble for still being awake so late.Â
For a disorienting minute, he didnât truly recognize his guest. It was his dad but not. It was Michael but not. It was Dad if he was younger, Michael if he was older.Â
His confusion swept away the fear, and he sat up with a frown.Â
âHey, Evan,â whoever it was whispered. In the dim glow of his nightlight, Evan could see the shine of tears in his eyes. He sounded like Michael, but Michael would never be soft like that or look almost happy to see him.Â
âHiâŚâ he whispered back, anxiously twisting his flashlight in his hands.Â
âI know youâre probably a little confused right now,â sorta-Michael said gently. âAnd Iâd like to explain, maybe in the morning. But I wantedâI have to tell you Iâm sorry. Iâm so sorry.âÂ
Evan fidgeted. He seemed genuine, and Michael had never really been much of an actor. Michael had also never apologized to Evan for anything ever, so it was kinda freaky that he would now.Â
âFor what?â he asked, making fleeting eye contact before tearing his gaze away.Â
âFor everything,â maybe-Michael replied, painfully earnest and so full of sorrow. âFor the way Iâve treated you, for scaring you, for pushing you around. For every time I hurt you, in any way. Iâd apologize for each and every thing I was ever a jerk about, but Iââ he laughed like the alternative was a sobâ âI couldnât possibly remember them all.âÂ
âI, I donât understand.â Evan wanted to ask if this was a joke, but he was panicking just a smidge over how close to full-on crying this weird older Michael looked to be.
âI know,â he said, wiping his eyes with his sleeve. âI know. But I swear, I mean it. And Iâm going to do everything I can to make things right.âÂ
Michael leaned forward and reached out, hesitating before resting his hand on Evanâs head. He didnât even flinch, the disconnect between this person and the brother he knew numbing him to it. Michaelâs hand was larger than it should be, an adultâs hand. It slipped down to the side, pressing against his cheek for a moment. Michaelâs eyes flickered over his face, back and forth, almost desperately, before he reluctantly pulled back.Â
âIâm really glad to see you, Evan,â he whispered thickly.Â
Before Evan could even begin to come up with a response to probably one of the most unbelievable sentences heâd ever heard from his brotherâs mouth, the flash of his clock changing caught his eye, and panic seized his throat when he saw that it read midnight.Â
He wasnât ready.Â
But Michaelâs hand was suddenly on his leg, and he looked up into his probably-brotherâs eyes, and for the first time in his life, he saw the protective fury of an older sibling.Â
âYouâre not fighting alone tonight, Evan,â he swore, and he grinned then, and suddenly, Evan just knew this was the man his brother would grow up to be. Somehow, this really was his brother.Â
Behind Michael, the door opened again, this time admitting two strangers. One was a blonde woman who looked to be about this Michaelâs age and one was⌠himself?Â
He squeaked and sent Michael a wide-eyed look.Â
âVanessa and Gregory,â he introduced, then added, âNo relation, I swear, itâs coincidence.âÂ
âReally messed him up, too,â Gregory said.Â
âNice to meet you, kid,â Vanessa said. She was, for some reason, holding a crowbar. âBut I hear weâve got some monsters to deal with.âÂ
On cue, a floorboard creaked outside the other door. Michael stood as Vanessa stormed across the room, something like fury burning in her eyes.Â
âWeâre not gonna let them touch you, Evan,â Michael said. No, Michael promised. âIâm not gonna let them touch you.âÂ
And Evanâseeing the conviction, the determination, the protectivenessâbelieved him.Â
In an alternative au where MC is a detective/police officer I can see Adele who's being put to cuffs tauntingly flirting and teasing Welhaven not giving a damn about the situation that she is inđ đ
Adele: *getting handcuffed* Damn, detective, we could've taken this somewhere a bit more private. I didn't know you were into something moreâ
This is just my opinion based off of my impression of these characters, and I also really really like pokemon, sooo
Fleur: Personally I think Gardevoir would be a better fit for her in terms of her personality and story, Gardevoir is (obviously) VERY protective, and would quite literally do anything to keep their trainer safe, and I think that intensity just better fits Fleur especially considering what she's going through. And also we get to have a dilemma Gardevoir gets when their trainer is dying and they can't do anything about it!! Good stuff
Cooper: Sabelye is probably the better fit, while Excegutor is a pretty funny guy, Sabelye fits Coopers demonic themes a bit better and can be both funny AND spooky like Cooper (No diss to Alolan Excegutor that things nuts).
Ophelia: this ones a bit tricky, but frankly I'd go with Espur because if any pokemon gives off weird girl vibes, it's Espur.
The angst potential for Fleur is real with Gardevoir, I swear. Spot on, dear anon!
I agree heavily with your opinion. Though if Cooper alone were to choose, it be Alolan Exeggutor. Because big coconut tree that doesn't look like a dragon but is actually a dragon⌠I meanâŚâŚ Big tree go Dragon Pulse brrrrrrr Cooper is rolling on the floor dying of laughter
Yeah, Espurr is weird girl vibes and fits Ophelia. I can't deny that. Those wide eyes stare into your SOUL, my dude.

âĄď¸đĄanon here With all the angst going around in the SSides fandom I just want to give all the boys a hug. All of them. Every single one Logan gets a hug, Roman gets a hug, Janus gets a hug, Patton gets a hug, Virgil (if he wants) gets a hug, Remus gets a hug, yet to be named orange side gets a hello because they havenât shown themselves yet and I respect their choice. And most importantly Thomas absolutely gets a hug
Oh poor Character Thomas needs it BIG time. And I shall give Orange a friendly "hello"!
Prompt: Gregory saves Vanessa by complete accident, he just wanted to get the highscores on all the arcade games while trying to escape. so when Vanessa glomps him in thanks he's just confused by the sob filled gibberish vanessa's spouting
This was just too funny! Bit on the shorter side, and definitely lacking in angst. Enjoy!
Freedom is Found in the High Scores
âYes! High score!â Gregory fist-pumped as the arcade game played a little victory tune. He waited just long enough to enter his nameâGRMLN, so, close enoughâfor the leaderboard before hightailing it out of the storage room.Â
âAnd that makes all of them,â he crowed to his watch, dodging STAFF bots as he made his way through the west arcade.Â
Freddy, whoâd been cheering him on during his quest to get the high score on at least one of every game in the pizzaplex, exclaimed, âWay to go, Superstar! This must be a new record of high scores!âÂ
It wasnât a bad way to salvage the night, Gregory decided. Not as great as befriending Freddy, but at least his high scores were something he could show his friends.
Gregory trotted around one of the last corners separating him from Freddy, only to nearly come face to face with the stabby bunny lady. The costume head was laying on its side on the floor, and she was kneeling, staring down at her gloved hands. He wasnât surprised to find the security guard behind the mask, but he was surprised when her head shot up at his arrival.Â
She was crying.
That was about all he had time to notice before she lunged at him with a weird choking sound. Gregory frantically spammed the Freddy-come-save-me button on his watch as he stumbled back. Her arms wrapped around him, and she nearly collapsed against him, still on her knees.Â
Instead of stabbing him or trying to strangle him, Vanessa shook with unconcealed sobs, her face pressed against Gregoryâs shoulder.Â
âUh,â he said. âHi?âÂ
He looked around, half expecting this to be a trap of some sort. But the hallway was otherwise empty, and he couldnât see any weapons.Â
After a few long seconds of baffled stiffness, he gingerly patted her shoulder. It didnât sound like sheâd stop crying any time soon. Instead, the sobbing got worse and was suddenly interspersed with barely comprehensible babbling.Â
Gregory was in the middle of trying to figure out why she kept repeating âthank youâ when Freddy charged around the far corner at full speed. He slowed as he got closer, a confused head tilt speaking volumes.Â
âYouâre seeing this too, right?â Gregory asked.Â
âYes,â Freddy said slowly. âGregory⌠what did you do to Officer Vanessa?âÂ
âCongratulations,â Freddy said with the air of someone with many questions.
âYouâre welcome?â Gregory said at the same time.Â
Vanessa didnât appear to hear either of them, or if she did, she didnât care to respond. She just slumped further down as she cried, nearly knocking Gregory over.Â
Freddy, seeing him stagger beneath her weight, circled around behind Gregory and, almost gracefully, bore all three of them fully to the floor.Â
âOkay,â Gregory said, squished between an animatronic and a sobbing security guard. âCool. This is fine. This is⌠the weirdest thing thatâs happened to me tonight.âÂ
Which was saying something, all things considered. Maybe he shouldnât be surprised, considering heâd started the night by hiding in a robotâs stomach.Â
He patted Vanessaâs head with a sigh. Even though he was the one sheâd been chasing with a knife, she definitely needed the comfort more than he did.Â
(idea anon) prompt: strings!verse time travel (accidental) fix it where Vanessa finds herslf back in time (unknown to her, the day gregory's crash happened), and accidentally saves gregory's family by doing something as simple as crossing the street, the minor delay created turning the fatal crash into a non fatal one. When she wakes up Gregory is not living with her. Instead, she's living with Gregory and his parents, who have essentially adopted her, seeing a kindred spirit in her
Heck yeah, time travel! It felt good to write a ficlet again after so long. Thanks for yâallâs patience! The past few weeks have been⌠mm. Anyway, minor warning for a character being hit by a car ahead, though itâs not graphic or fatal. Enjoy!
Do-over
One minute Vanessaâd been picking up a weird-looking ornately decorated book, and the next, it was like lightning was traveling through her body in all-consuming waves. It couldnât have lasted more than a few seconds, not even long enough for her to scream, but hell if it hadnât been a small eternity of agony.Â
Her vision went funky, dark like sheâd gone blind, and the air was suddenly clean and fresh instead of the mustiness of the pizzaplexâs basement. Painfully bright light consumed her before she could comprehend the sudden change, and then there was an awful squealing noise. Something hit her, roughly knocking her backward and sending her tumbling along the ground. It hurt, but not as much as the lightning had.Â
Ears ringing and beyond confused, Vanessa blessedly blacked out.
â˘Â â˘Â â˘
She heard muttered conversation first. The sound of machines, beeping and humming, came next. It was a monumental effort, but Vanessa dragged her heavy eyelids open.Â
There wasnât any real pain like she expected, just an odd floatiness. Exhaustion dragged at her fuzzy mind, begging her to slip back into sleep, but her jumbled memories of what she last remembered kept her conscious.Â
She was still turning things over in her head, staring almost accusingly at the ceiling, when a woman in scrubs entered her line of sight. Vanessa hadnât even heard her approach.Â
The woman smiled at her. âGood morning. How are you feeling?â
âWeird,â Vanessa said, only slurring a little. She wiggled her fingers. âWhaâ happened?â
âYou were hit by a car last night. Youâre lucky, though. The driver hit the brakes fast enough that youâre not in too bad of shape.â The woman checked one of the monitors next to Vanessaâs bed. âIâll get the doctor in a minute, and sheâll go over your injuries with you. Mind telling me your name? You didnât have any ID on you.âÂ
âHn. Vanessa.âÂ
âNice to meet you, Vanessa. Iâm Nancy.â Nancy patted her arm. âYou up to having some visitors?âÂ
Frowning, Vanessa hummed in question. If they didnât know who she was, how could someone be there to see her?
Nancy chuckled. âThe driver and his family. They came back this morning to see how youâre doing. We canât tell them much without your permission, but theyâd like to check on you themselves if youâre okay with that.âÂ
A little bewildered but willing enough, she nodded. âSure.â She hoped the guy wasnât feeling too guilty about hitting her. However the hell sheâd managed to end up, apparently, in the middle of a road was her fault, not his.Â
Maybe you deserved it, too, said the nasty little voice in the back of her head. Itâs a shame you survived. Heâd have been doing the world a favor, getting rid of you.Â
Vanessa gripped a handful of the sheets, trying to remain outwardly calm and normal as Nancy asked her a few questions and the doctor popped by to talk about how her injuries had been treated and what she was looking at as far as recovery went. She was left alone afterwards for only a minute or two before Nancy returned with a gentle smile, leading an unfamiliar man behind her.Â
âHere she is,â Nancy said, nodding at Vanessa. âIf any of you need anything, you can hit the call button or come down to the desk, okay?âÂ
Nancy left, and the man stepped closer to the bed, revealing a shorter woman behind him. Like the man, Vanessa had never seen her before.Â
But the kid holding the womanâs hand.Â
She probably had the drugs and the floatiness to thank as the only reason she didnât blurt out Gregoryâs name. But it was definitely Gregory tucked against the womanâs sideâhell, the woman bore a pretty strong resemblance to the kid, even now when he was⌠he wasâŚÂ
Oh. Oh.Â
This Gregory, who looked at her without a shred of recognition, was most definitely not eleven years old. He was a little bit shorter, had more of a baby face, and lacked a haunted sharpness in his eyes that sheâd never been fully conscious of before now, seeing him without it.Â
Was this real? A dream? She was left stuck between reeling with shock and frantically trying to learn more about this cozy, loving, tragedy-less family. If the introductions and conversation that followed seemed silted or awkward or fumbling on her part, they were kind enough not to mention it.
She was barely able to keep herself from staring at them. These were Gregoryâs parents. His good, beloved parents who heâd lost when he was nine. And they were here, alive, with him. This was Gregory, the most important person in her life. The kid who saved her. Sheâd thought he was young before, he was practically a baby now.Â
They were as kind as heâd claimed they were. He was as bright and carefree as she had imagined he used to be.
They were kind to her, all three of them to Vanessa, who definitely didnât deserve it, not after what sheâd done. Not after what she tried to do to their son. Not after the burden sheâd been.
She started crying then, but to her shock, instead of leaving or growing uncomfortable, Gregoryâs parents sought to comfort her. Confused and frightened and guilty, she blurted out a half-truth that she was alone, that her parents were gone, and she didnât know where she was or how she got there.
And for the first time in years, Vanessa received hugs and reassurance from adults. From parents, even though they werenât her own.Â
They stayed with her that day, and they came back the next, and the day after that. And when she was released from the hospital, they opened their home to her, winking that Gregory would be happy to have an older sister of sorts.Â
Despite herself, she went with them, a fluttering wisp of hope in her heart that maybe things would be different. Better, even. Maybe things could be changed.
(Maybe they already had.)
(She only found out later that theyâd hit her on the way home from a high school theater production.)
