He's grown up so much. He did his work this week. Friday we got away from the paper and went walking to get some rules for handling an ID cane. It means that he does not require a cane for the blind for constant orientation and mobility. He needs it to identify as a child with visual impairments. He knows the school. For field trips away from school I want him to take it for security in unfamiliar places and so others will know he needs consideration for his low vision. He gets so excited when introduced to new things. "Wow! I can tell when the sidewalk changes. I can feel it all the way up my arm!" #visualimpairments #teacherforvisuallyimpaired #TVI #lowvision #idcane #identificationcane #elementaryschool #teacherforever #specialistteacher #teacherspecialistforthevisuallyimpaired #canetravel #freenfb https://www.instagram.com/p/ChggcEMM0xF/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
