Ya que es el día del voluntario les comento un poco que he estado haciendo en este mes en Londres. Me vine a través de @icyehonduras (cualquier pregunta, con ellos) en conexión con @volunteering_uk , donde mi labor es principalmente hacerle compañía a personas con discapacidades fisiológicas (pérdida de audición, visión, movilidad en general) o estados mentales (demencia, depresión, ataques de ansiedad). Pues en cada turno, es un servicio personalizado, muchas veces el voluntario cumple una función de relajante para la familia y/o la persona cuidada. El hecho de que somos voluntarios internacionales, abre la puerta a muchas conversaciones interesantes. Si les dijera la cantidad de preguntas que me han hecho de Honduras porque no es un país conocido por estas zonas. He tenido conversaciones muy apasionadas sobre la diferencia entre las abejas europeas y las hondureñas, el clima, comida, idioma y (jeje) servicio de transporte público 😂.
