I've been working more on TFI and Roomie, who helped build it but is more of the Idea guy because not a writer, was talking about the part he is most excited about is the ShockJack Related plotlines and I wanted to gush about them.
I think I mentioned them a little before, like how they make life together by creating Scorponok, who at first is small and looks like the Cyberverse Purple Scorpions but grows and gets upgrades to resemble he's usual self? He still keeps a Scorpion alt-mode but huge to honor he's creators.
He's actually just one of their collection of created/adopted creations/mentees. On Shockwave's part, it is mostly accidentally, but Wheeljack likes kids and is more than happy to invent the concept of parent and baby given he already baby talks the equipment in their lab to make it work better.
(Though when he finds out that the computer he's been sweet talking for years is actually Mainframe then he is a mixed of embarrassed and pissed and makes Shockwave clarify if any of their equipment is or was a person.)
Their ongoing list if children rather created or adopted or mentored by Wheeljack and by osmosis Shockwave:
Accidental Baby
Scorponok
The Phase Sixer Equivalents of TFI
Sixshot
Black Shadow
Fortress Maximus
Blue Bacchus
The Science Babies
Brainstorm
Nautica
Perceptor
Scalpel
Flame
The Military Babies
The Combaticons
The Coneheads
Ooooo on Scorponok having somewhat of a metamorphosis! Thinking about his IDW self but actually scorpion capable sounds so pretty
Also the Cyberverse minibots were scorpions? How did it take me this long to figure that out. I could never place what exactly they looked like and now I know why.
Yesss on Wheeljack baby talking to the lab equipment and Shockwave going along with the new surprise child. Shockwave, yes it would be a good idea to specify who all in the lab is sapient, sentient, not sentient, or somewhere in between.
That's a lot of children, W ShockJack
