Frisk knew that they could probably use the elevator to get to their floor. They rather liked elevators. That feeling in your belly as they went up without having to make any effort. It was fun. But they didn’t think it was that big of a walk so they were more than pleased to just take the stairs when the elevator was in use. They rarely saw other people on the stairs, so it was nice and quiet. Quiet enough to hear footsteps.

Frisk sniffed the air. It smelled like… Something familiar. Sort of like…. Sushi? Maybe someone was eating it? No, Frisk knew this exact smell. It was odd for them to remember their friends by smell, but when you rarely opened your eyes, it was a quick way to recognize people. Frisk sped up their climbing, passing their own floor to find the source of the smell. One of their eyes opened in hopes of spotting the source of the smell. As soon as they visually confirmed it, a smell lit up their face.

“Undyne!”

A person he’d never seen before, yet they seemed to perfectly fit into the world he hailed from. Then again, in a world such as his, where the unusual had become the norm, seeing ‘non-humans’ had become another part of daily life. Sadly, people who did look like this individual did weren’t exactly liked by many, oh well. Tomura never cared much for appearances anyway.

Mutants were strong. That’s what matters.
