But he used that personal and public failure as an opportunity to become more innovative than ever and went on to create Pixar and the technology behind the iPhone. Some of the world’s most inspirational speakers have also experienced great personal loss and have used that as an opportunity to forge deeper and more meaningful connections in their lives. Lysa TerKeurst was forced to battle cancer alone after her husband left her for another woman.
