Loki stared down at the red line that bisected the highway, right at the town's border. Storybrooke. Odd name for a town. But certainly not as odd as the things he'd heard about it. Rumors had made their way to New York... whispers... tales of magic, right here in Midgard. It had been enough to pique his interest-- so much so that he'd decided to inspect this strange phenomena for himself. The moment he made that first, purposeful step over the town line, he could feel it. Magic. More than he could ever have hoped for. An entertained smirk played about his lips as he made his way towards the heart of the town.
He stayed to his own, leisurely pace as he sauntered down the main street, taking in the city and its inhabitants. It looked for all the worlds like any other quaint village in this Realm, but the buzzing undercurrent of power told a different story. His eyes alighted on a particular citizen, just a ways ahead. The blonde had something distinct about her, a solid kind of quality that made her seem as though she must hold some authority here. Loki adjusted his coat-- he'd opted for standard Midgardian attire-- and approached her.
"Pardon--" His tone was polite; he'd found it was often better to establish allies if you were planning to make enemies. His eyes, however, were far too intense for his expression to come off kind. "I don't suppose you could point me in the direction of a hotel. I'm passing through, but I may be planning to stay."
