#theRealCoolSuppliers ..meet Jason DaSilva, or actually his avatar on AXSMaps. Jason was diagnosed with a severe, extremely progressive form of Multiple Sclerosis at the age of 25. He documented his experience of becoming rapidly disabled and created a critically acclaimed, award winning film titled "When I Walk". That was just the beginning... "The problem" he says, "is that a lot of places — even ones that say that they are — still aren’t accessible for people with disabilities." He's made it his mission to change that. He started AXSMaps which is one part Google maps and one part Yelp. By sourcing the power of the disabled crowd through general submissions and "Mapathons" he has developed an evolving map that accurately details where accessible places are, and how well they service their claims to be accessible.
