Favorite Ice Type: Alolan Ninetales
This was many of the reasons why I chose Sun over Moon. This Alolan variant is so damn majestic~! It’s not that I didn’t like the original, but damn when I saw both it and its pre-evolution I was sold! They took something with an already great design and outdone themselves. When I did my first playthrough of Sun I already had its name and a luxury ball with said name on it. Mine was a special hitting beast, and I’ve never been so happy to use same typings on my team before~
Least Favorite Ice Type: Crabominable
There actually aren’t many Alola designs I hate, but this one is one of those. I want to promise that I automatically don’t hate a Pokemon design if it’s ugly or not considered cute/beautiful. While this ‘mon isn’t exactly easy on the eye... that isn’t my problem with it. My biggest issue are its paw... arms...? and it’s hill billy face! Its arms look painfully out of proportion. It’s face... oh boy! Why did it have to have buck teeth and that weird bowl straw hat haircut?! Crawbrawler looked charming but then it evolves and becomes the quintessential stereotype of bigger and dumber and it makes me sad. The inspiration for it could have been so much more, and what we got was a mountain hill billy snow crab... *sighs*
