john has never made great decisions. his actions after the war’s end are a prime example of that. and though he knows going to eliza’s right now is far from the best course of action ( his daughter arrives from overseas in less than a week ----- he should be preparing his house ), john can’t resist. she is bewitching and he’s been under her spell for years now.
he knocks on her door a few times when he arrives, rocking back on his heels while waiting for her to answer.
