Adam stares into the mirror, like his reflection might change back to normal if he does it hard enough. ...It doesn’t. Of course it doesn’t. Because life is a bastard and he’s its bitch, apparently. 

One rounded ear gives the slightest of a twitch and Adam groans and presses his hands against both of them as if to hide them, decidedly ignoring the silky smooth fur and how his own hair is suddenly so much softer now. There’s an equally silky soft and fluffy tail sticking out of the back of his pants and-- and is it his imagination or is he...a little shorter, a little smaller than usual?

...Oh god, he hopes it’s his imagination.
