Itâs that time of year again where snow covers every inch of ground. Everywhere is just covered in the same blinding light that truly had no purpose but to terrorize Tsering. Usually heâs okay with snow he can deal with it but after nearly a month of non stop missions and absolutely no medical treatment he thinks itâs okay to hate the snow at least a little bit. Especially since the red dripping from his wound stains the white so obviously anything could easily find him and thatâd be the end of the Great Tsering.
God he just hopes Akil isnât too mad at the mess heâs going to leave at this doorâŠ.
If he can even get to it.
The mansion is honestly not that far. Heâs walked this same distance in seconds but when you have a gaping hole in your stomach itâs less easy to clear such a thing. Considering the weather he doubts anyone would come outside to notice him, a small mercy that makes him slightly more grateful to this cursed winter. Still itâs cold and the snow is hard to move in and with his vision blurring he cannot afford not being able to move. Not when heâs so close. Every step he takes feels like heâs carrying a mountain on his back, he can feel his legs tremble as more blood flows out of his wound. Gods itâs going to take forever to get this out. He should just buy another at this point thereâs no saving these pants. Or him at this point. He doesnât think his legs will move anymore.
Well thatâs a very funny end if you ask him. Heâs known for constantly moving but the moment he has too he canât even move an inch. Iâm sure some god out there is laughing at the irony with him. They wouldnât be laughing for long though as he sees a bright light that he knows is no heavenly light. No no it is something much warmer and kinder. Akilâs front door opening and he knows exactly whoâs opening it. The distance cleared between him and Akil is close in not even a second as the taller man without a word picks him up like a bride.
âAre you going to take me to your bed while Iâm so weak and have your way with me Mr Scary Vampire? Drain what little blood I have left?â He says dramatically, throwing his hand over his head as he smiles but his entire body relaxes in the vampires arms.
âIf you keep joking like that youâll have people think thatâs what I actually do. I already have a poor reputation as it is, I donât need you ruining it.â Akilâs voice however betrayed him as it was filled with warmth and not even he could hide his smile.
Tsering is immediately grateful for how hot Akil keeps his home. If he werenât already being carried it wouldâve felt like a warm embrace. It seems everyone is asleep or in their individual rooms which isnât surprising considering how late into the night it was. The only indication of activity was the shelves of inks that were clearly being restocked and reorganized.
âDo you ever like⊠sleep? I mean I know you donât have to but itâs like youâre always doing something when Iâm not around. You should rest more often maybe then you wouldnât look so scary.â Tsering says, stroking Akilâs chin as the man carries him up the stairs.
âI think the day I donât look scary is the day someoneâs instincts have failed them. Except you I donât think yours have ever functioned as they shouldâve. Iâm guessing itâs because of your tragic backstory that you clearly have?â Akil opens the door to Tserings designated room, it being a complete mess and exactly how the man left it. You would think Akil were putting down something extremely fragile and not a 200 pound grown man the way he put down Tsering onto the bed.
âMy instincts failing me is exactly what got me this easy stay and you a friend for about 40 more years so itâs a win win in my booksâ Tsering couldnât help but wince as Akil helped him with taking off his shirt, properly revealing the gaping hole in his stomach. Dried blood covered the wound and still more fresh blood gushed from it as if it would never end. âYou poor instincts is exactly what got you a hole in your stomach so Iâm not sure it is a win for either of usâ Akil turned around to grab the medical kit he keeps in this manâs room. Evidence of how many times this exact situation has happened over their 21 years of what can only be described as a codependentship.
Tsering watches Akilâs nimble hands as they disinfect and begin to treat the younger manâs wound. It would hurt more if Tsering could look at anything but the vampires focused gaze. How he works with such care and precision. Itâd be impossible to imagine him as anything but kind. However the time for that is quickly over we Akil finishes sewing the wound and licks it so his saliva could encourage healing.
âOne day Iâm going to get you to do that for a completely different reason.â Tsering says with the same tone he always uses when he flirts with Akil. âOne day Iâm going to sew that disrespectful mouth of yours shut.â âIâd like that~â âThis is exactly why I donât talk to you. Get yourself comfortable Iâll come back up after Iâve finished my organizationâ Akil makes a move to get up but he quickly finds two scarred pale hands on his waist. âNooo come and lay down with me now. All you do is organize you can spare a night to just lay down with me. Besides Iâm injured arenât you supposed to monitor your patient?â Tsering whines like a child, sitting up slightly to put his head on the manâs back as he fully wraps his arms around his waist.
âI live with 4 children and yet you continue to prove yourself to be the most childish person under my roof.â Akil says, as he turns around and takes off his boots. âBut you still humor me.â Tsering says, smugly like the bastard he is. Akil lays down next to that bastard, wrapping his arms around him. âBut I still humor you.â
