The Tutsi genocide that shook the world, and tore apart a nation, We gather here to commemorate, and offer our solemn dedication. We remember the courage and strength of those who fought, Against the hatred and violence, with every fiber of their thought. The survivors who carry the weight of the past, And the martyrs who rest in peace, their memories destined to last. Today, we honor the victims, and pledge to never forget, The lessons of history we must learn, so that humanity can beget. A future where love and compassion reign, And the horrors of genocide, never again. Let us stand together, in solidarity and unity, With the Rwandan people, and their unwavering community. May their courage inspire us, and their resilience give us hope, For a better tomorrow, where humanity can truly cope. As we remember, and as we mourn, Let us also celebrate the spirit reborn, The nation that rose from the ashes, and defied all odds, A symbol of hope, and a testament to the power of the human gods. So let us continue to commemorate, and keep the memories alive, For the sake of the past, the present, and the future we strive.
