He’s a rich mine of Common Sense for those who live well, a personal bodyguard to the candid and sincere. He keeps his eye on all who live honestly, and pays special attention to his loyally committed ones. (Proverbs 2:6-8 MSG) Being wise has gotten me through a many of life's circumstances. Not because I was a straight A student or that I have a degree in any particular subject, but because of wisdom! Now many of you may be thinking "isn't that the same thing?" And I would be the first to shout NO NO NO not at all. Godly wisdom is far more than common knowledge or book smarts. It's the revelation and understanding through application of these things.. In laments terms, it's the ability to take a look at things with Gods insight and obtain His perspective on the matter. The ability to connect the dots. Some are able to connect these dots and gain wisdom due to their experiences in life, which takes them from one dot to the next and gives them understanding on a matter. That's why we say our elders have wisdom because they have been through more and connected many dots giving them understanding and wisdom. Others gain understanding from their ability to take a step back and see the bigger picture, (Gods perspective) and make wise decisions based on the understanding given to them. But how do you get that birds eye view of understanding? How do you obtain Godly Wisdom? .. Simple.. Ask. Lol James 1:5 clearly states that If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. . So speak it and seek it. And once you get it, keep it. God Bless
