Requisite gym mirror selfie at my new gym. . Been feeling in a bit of a rut lately so I'm changing things up. Don't get me wrong, I'm still going to be doing martial arts, but the weights section at my martial arts gym isn't as expansive as here and I just find walking on a treadmill dicking around on my phone profoundly relaxing. . A thing I used to struggle with a lot was the idea that if I got into anything, it had to be permanent and all the time. "Oh there's no point in me getting my protein up today unless I do it every day" "Oh if I'm not having fun with this thing I have to either push through or quit" "unless I'm willing to do this for two hours a day and be the best at it why even bother" Etc. It's not a helpful mind set. . My mind has slowly been wrapping around the idea that things do and should change. It sounds so obvious but it's hard to grasp. My interests, the things I enjoy, my body, it's all constantly changing. There's no finding my "thing" and that's it forever and I'll always feel the same about it. . I forgot where I was going with this. Anyway! My gym is nice and they have one of those curved treadmills I really like and also like a rock climbing treadmill thing?
