A courier hands Kiera a box. Inside is an elegant fur stole. the only note attached is a piece of paper with 'H' on it.
Kiera looks at the note with a look of surprise. She only knew one person who's name started with an "H", but she was certain he had forgotten about her. He hadn't written in ages, or even come to visit for that matter. Why on Nirn would he send her a gift?
Kiera opened the box and pulled out the stole from within. She held it for a moment feeling the soft fur as a smile came to her face. She quickly wrapped the stole around her neck, feeling the soft fur around her.
She closed her eyes and held the the stole close. If only Hadvar could be there now. She missed him, so much.

It was a lovely day. The sun was shining, the air was crisp, and butterflies flit from mountain flower to dragon's tongue in lazy laps. There was little breeze, but the air was cool enough to keep the sun from being harsh. Really, it was a perfect day.
Except, Asani had lost her shoes.
Not at first. No, first had come the climbing of a rock, and then some kicking at wolf muzzles. After that, some shrieks and then a boot hurled at a wolf face. Now they were circling (and one was eating her boots!), and there was very little Asani could do if they decided to attack again.
No more boots. She threw one of the loose rocks down at the wolves, causing them to yelp and sidestep. But it was only a matter of time before she was out of projectiles. Not for the first time, she wished she knew more magic than healing.
Also, that she had better aim.
There was someone coming up the road, however. Asani shouted and waved her arms. "Help! Wolves!" Maybe she should have left the 'wolf' part out, in hindsight. They might run away.
Oh, well, they were wearing armor. Maybe they wouldn't.
