What is feather bent?
We just don’t know. Hehe, I assume you’re asking sincerely, so I’ll do my best to explain. :)
Feaherbent is a wonderful and absolutely gorgeous visual novel about bird people living in a forest called the Strata.

It’s based on Homestuck—though if you ask me, it’s far enough removed from the source material that it could still be enjoyable by non-Homestucks (they’ll obviously miss some in-jokes and references, but to me it seems like the characters are written in such a way that you don’t have to be familiar with their canon counterparts to understand/like them).
At its heart, Featherbent is a love story about John, a sheltered young man who slowly uncovers the dark secrets of the Strata, and Karkat, a mutant outcast who (as we found out in the most recent installment) has to face those secrets head-on. The rest of the cast is just as interesting and fun as John and Karkat, and the increasingly intricate (and ominous) plot will pull you in deeper and deeper until you’re drowning in your own feelings.
It’s hilarious and heartbreaking and full of everything from brutal massacres to cranberry muffins. The game is fully illustrated, scored, and voiced, it plays like a dream, and the writing is superb. It feels like a professional piece of art, but these people pour their hearts and souls into it for free. I seriously cannot shower it with enough praise. Needless to say, I highly recommend trying it out.
