Today the power went out, and Im pretty sure everyone knows that when the power goes out so do all of your hopes and dreams. My phone was flat, but Im basically macguyver, and wont be defeated so I was like: "Ill get in my car, start it, drive somewhere out of the parking with reception and charge it in the car's cigarette lighter" Garage door wouldnt open (electronic) couldnt get into the garage. Elevators all down. "I know, I have this battery powered car starter kit here there has to be some way to rig this to charge a mobile phone" Obvious issue being that my mobile charges via micro usb, and the only outlet other than the jumper leads are a 12V car cigarette port-thing and my adapter is in the car, where I cant get to it. Not entirely defeated I climbed back up through the fire escape stairwell to my apartment. "AHA! Theres a cable here in this box of tangled everythings, that goes from 12V thingy-ma-doodle to a 5v power plug" "AHA! I happen to have a powered USB hub, that I have never used, which will take that plug like the little 7 port whore it is" "Then, I can plug my usb and phone into that!" "Success!" Things I briefly considered doing while the power was out only to be disappointed seconds later: Making a cup of coffee Vacuuming the apartment Drawing (no pencils or paper cos wtf are those) Watching a movie Playing some games listening to music  Cooking something to eat Walking on the treadmill Turning on the airconditioner
