The Intergalactic Asteri Fighting Team (“IAFT”)
This is going to be a short bookmark post about a much larger theory @merymoonbeam and I thought up way back in February 2022 (that some people (@offtorivendell lol) have been waiting for us to post about for years 😅), but it feels like the right time to at least officially post a short version for preservation purposes.
In sum: @merymoonbeam think that Jesiba is leading or at least part of a group that has been fighting the Asteri for millennia, which we’ve coined the Intergalactic Asteri Fighting Team, or IAFT for short. And we think that Jesiba works with a network of priestesses and others in the IAFT to preserve (through magic and otherwise) the history of worlds that have been attacked or conquered by the Asteri, which is how books from Prythian and Erilea have ended up in the Library.
And we think that the IAFT might be the center, or at least part of, SJM’s next series, which we suspect will be a crossover series.
Jesiba and the Library of Parthos
Jesiba controls the Library of Parthos, a library that at three very least preserves the history of Midgard from before the Asteri and the true history since the Asteri:

So Jesiba is maintaining and protecting what remains of the ancient library of Parthia that the Vanir (read: the asteri I’m sure) burned 15,000 years ago.
But the library doesn’t just have the ancient tomes from Parthos. It has books from Erilea and Prythian too:
How did the walking dead and the book of breathings get there? Is there some sort of magic that Jesiba has cast (or maybe that she uses priestesses or witches to cast) that saves books from asteri-conquered or touched lands right before the can be destroyed? So did her magic pull the book of breathings from the cauldron before it could be sucked into the Void in ACOWAR, for example?
Is she working with the librarians at the Torre, and in Orynth and Adarlan and in the House of Wind etc to preserve the histories of these places? Are there portals at the bottoms of these libraries for the IAFT to access? Is that how the Bast cats (from Hel?) got to the Torre like @offtorivendell has theorized, and maybe how Aidas gets into the HoW?
And is part of what she preserves the knowledge that is key to destroying the Asteri?
The IAFT
At the end of HOEAB, Jesiba and Aidas have this convo:
Fuck “us” over. This suggests to us that Jesiba is part of a greater rebellion or force against the Asteri. Is she talking about the IAFT here? Is it her and the Princes of Hel (at least Aidas and Apollion) and others?
And are Bryce and Ruhn and Hunt and Ithan going to join the IAFT? And will the IC eventually join as well?
We can’t wait to see what happens 😭
