Make sure he/she is a QUALIFIED Plastic Surgeon because only a Plastic Surgeon who further studies in Aesthetic Surgery is THE ONLY Authorized Cosmetic Surgeon to carry out any Aesthetic/Cosmetic procedure. e.g. look for Government of India (MCI or NBE, now NMC) recognized M.Ch./DNB Plastic Surgery degrees *(Remember: ONLY M.Ch. or DNB Plastic Surgery)* 2. Look for credentials and whether your surgeon is a member of APSI, IAAPS & ISAPS or not. IAAPS shield is the easiest way to identify a bonafide Cosmetic Surgeon. 3. Don't fall prey to self-proclaimed cosmetologist/aesthetician or something like Diploma in Plastic Surgery or Diploma in Cosmetic Surgery etc. (there is nothing like Diploma in Plastic or Cosmetic surgery), they are NIETHER qualified NOR Eligible to perform these surgeries, they don't have any valid & authorized certification/training or education. They can harm you to any extent. Their advertising game may be strong and their cost may be real cheap but the end results are often disaster, and even sometimes, dangerous too!
