I-Days Festival, Milan, Italy, 15 June 2022

A few months ago Alternative Press started asking questions to its readers and I thought it could be a way to tell you some of my passions. Ok for this week I chose a really easy question, but on Tuesday I shared the first post on the "60 Favorite Songs" and I didn’t have much time to prepare a harder one. During the Slow Song, do you wave your Phone or Lighter?....depends on the situation. Not being a smoker, it almost never happens to me to have a lighter to extract and raise to the sky during a slow song at a concert, so most of the time I use the phone. Some of you will surely remain faithful to the charm of the lighter that emits that soft warm light, but I can guarantee, from personal experience, that even the "torches" of mobile phones can excite. Almost a year ago, I went to the last day of the I-Days (an Italian musical event, where a lot of famous artists performed), for that day on the stage there would be bands like: Nothing But Thieves, Sum 41, Blink182 and Linkin Park. During the Linkin Park concert (one of the last before Chester committed suicide) they played "One More Light" and slowly the lights of the stage went out while those of the cell phones went on. Fortunately for me I was in the "Golden Circle" and I got to be able to turn around and admire the infinity of people behind me, for that concert there were 80,000 people and seeing so many lights on the mobile phones really excited me! (I hope someday to be able to see a similar show again, but being on stage during one of my concerts). It only happened once to swing a lighter during a concert. I went to see The Winery Dogs with one of my best friends, but that night it rained really a lot and then the lighter, it turned off shortly after turning it on. P.P.S. remember that next Tuesday a new post of the "60 Favorite Songs" will be released! - ————————————————————————— - Qualche mese fa Alternative Press ha iniziato a porre delle domande ai suoi lettori e ho pensato potesse essere un modo per raccontarvi qualche mia passione. Ok per questa settimana ho scelto una domanda davvero facile, ma martedì ho condiviso il primo post sulle “60 Favorite Songs” e non ho avuto molto tempo per prepararene una più difficile. Durante una Canzone Lenta, “ondeggi” il tuo Cellulare o l’Accendino? (During the Slow Song, do you wave your Phone or Lighter?)....dipende. Non essendo un fumatore, non mi capita quasi mai di avere con me un accendino da estrarre e alzare verso il cielo durante una canzone lenta in un concerto, quindi la maggior parte delle volte uso il cellulare. Qualcuno di voi sicuramente rimarrà fedele al fascino dell’accendino che emette quella morbida luce calda, ma posso garantire, per esperienza personale, che anche le “torce” dei cellulari posso emozionare. Quasi un anno fa, sono andato all'ultima giornata degli I-Days (un evento musicale italiano, dove si sono esibiti un sacco di artisti famosi), per quella giornata sul palco si sarebbero esibiti band come: Nothing But Thieves, Sum 41, Blink182 e Linkin Park. Durante il concerto dei Linkin Park (uno degli ultimi prima che Chester si togliesse la vita) hanno suonato “One More Light” e piano piano le luci del palco si sono spente mentre quelle dei cellulari si sono accese. Per mia fortuna ero nel “Golden Circle” e ho avuto modo di potermi girare e ammirare l’infinità di persone dietro di me, per quel concerto c’erano 80.000 persone e vedere così tante luci dei cellulari accese mi ha davvero emozionato! (Spero un giorno di poter rivedere uno spettacolo simile, ma stando sul palco, durante un mio concerto). Mi è capitato solo una volta di oscillare un accendino durante un concerto. Ero andato a sentire i The Winery Dogs insieme ad uno dei miei migliori amici, ma quella sera ha piovuto davvero tantissimo e quindi l’accendino mi si è spento poco dopo averlo acceso.
