Friday's update will be... I hope in Friday
I wrote it on dA, but I will write it here just in case there are some SATIM readers who do not have a dA account and only watch my comics via tumblr links... I greet them if they exist. Thanks for being there.
So... The last week has been very hard for me. At the beginning of the week, we waited for the coronavirus test results - luckily, they came out negative. Unfortunately, however, some other virus caught on. My child is struggling with a cough as if she was about to spit her lungs out, and I... well... On Monday I woke up with numbness almost all over my right side of body and pain so strong that I cried while making the slightest movement. I was not able to move my head or raise my hands (a little left hand, but as a right-handed person, it didn't help me much). The epicenter of pain started in the hip. On Tuesday it moved to the shoulder blades. On Wednesday it was in the nape of the neck, but thanks to the horse's ointment, I was able to move and function somehow. Pain landed in my throat on Thursday, making it almost impossible for me to swallow or speak. But I was able to move my head and hands relatively freely, so I decided to get to work with the Friday strip - 'cause it's not known where the pain will land next (if it goes further up, I will get such a migraine that I will beg my husband to kill me, if it turns left side into down of my body, I will not be able to move my neck, and if it goes deep into the body into the lungs - I will end up with pneumonia and fever... I don't count on recovery, such miracles don't happen).
Good news - the strip has gone through the worst stage in my opinion, i.e. arranging the frames and is waiting for colouring. Bad news - I decide to take a chance and go to sleep before I get on with it, so I don't know what state I'll wake up in in the morning. I may not even be able to post what I have already done, let alone finish this strip.
I just wanted you to know.
And to be credible, here is a screen of my currently finished work on the strip.
Yes, you see that right. This week's Friday strip is about Brody's exhilarating adventures, and I had a lot of fun (despite the pain) drawing him. I would love to show it to you on time, so keep your fingers crossed.
